I know everyone is on the Indiana train right now, and in love with the Cinderella story, but I’ve never seen so many arrogant and awful fans in my life after that win, and I’m a Bama fan went to my first game in 1992 the year we won a natty against Miami, and seen the 6 nattys won since then with Saban, I’ve seen us lose the natty to Clemson twice, and Georgia once, seen us lose playoffs games, SEC championship games, the Kick 6 at Auburn in 2013 that’s prevented us from having a 3-peat, I’ve seen some awfulness like the Bama-Tennessee game in Knoxville when they finally beat us after 15 years in 2022, I’ve seen some real ego from Tennessee, LSU, Florida, Georgia, Ohio state, Michigan, Clemson, Miami, Florida state, USC, Texas, Texas A&M, ole Miss, but the Hoosier fan base all of sudden gets this natty and the fans act like they are in the middle of 20 year dynasty, screaming about how never again will anyone beat them, that the natty runs through them, Cignetti will surpass Saban in 5 years, the yelling, the chants on planes, the throwing stuff, just embarrassing why not take your win with some class, and act like you belong here, I just don’t get it! Yeah Bama fans, my fan base, has some of the worst most obnoxious fans, always taking about 18 nattys, and Bear Bryant and Saban, and etc. I get it that’s drives me nuts too, or Harvey Updyke poisoning the trees at Toomers cuz we lost in 2010 and they put a cam newton jersey on the Bear statue, I was driving home from work listening to finebaum when he called in, but if you talk bad about how the Hoosier fans are acting, people come out and act like you can’t say anything, that this is their moment, well I get it, but why act so egotistical, I just don’t get it! Downvote me all you want, but college football has lost so much these last few years, we need to at least hold onto our dignity and be respectful and act like you belong when you win it all plus the heisman, and not act like some drunk Tennessee fan, whose down on the Tennessee River in his boat, and has been drinking since 5am, and it’s now 10pm and he’s going crazy! Folks acted this way over Oregon in 2010 when they made it to the Natty, that’s this is there only chance, look how great they’ve built this program with Chip Kelly, now tons of folks can’t stand Oregon, yeah they’ve lost both the Nattys they played in 2010 & 2014 seasons, but I remember folks wearing Oregon Tshirts, pulling for Oregon, the “Cinderella” team, now so many hate that team, and Phil Knights money, and all the uniforms, and folks used to love the the 109 uniforms, but not anymore, I can see Indiana maintaining its success, and folks growing tired of them with Mark Cuban money! Being successful brings you so much hate, I know as I’m a Alabama Crimson Tide & New York Yankees fan, and I know what it’s like to be a fan of losing team, as the Atlanta Falcons are my team!
