What is copypasta?
Its called copypasta as a combination of both ‘copy’ and ‘paste’. Its usually used (copy-paste) on a block of text that are either funny or ‘troll’ in nature.
Copypasta are long funny texts which are distributed over the internet by copy and paste. Its usually posted on a message boards or discussion threads to troll newer users as an inside joke. Popular examples of copypastas include things like ‘I sexually identify as a helicopter’, ‘navy seal copypasta’, or the entirety of the Bee Movie transcript.
Basically, copypastas are blocks of memorable text or quotes that you can copy-paste in things like forums and chatrooms to mess with people. Its text memes!

What is copypastatext.com?
Its a blog created to archive copypasta around the internet. Currently copypasta are mainly shared within Reddit and Discord. As popular platforms inherently need to protect their brand image, copypasta offensive nature put them at risk of being deleted and lost. This site will act as an insurance against this.
Copypastas also usually only circulate within the community that used them. For instance, ASCII art are mostly shared within Twitch whereas political copypastas are typically restricted within Twitter. This site attempts to properly gather and categorize them all for ease of discovery.
How are copypasta used?
