Rank inflation ruined my life
I was never good looking, smart, or good at anything. All I had was league. And for a long time, league was part of my identity. Not anymore.
I met my girlfriend on the rift on my smurf and ever since, she's been my yuumi support. The kitten I've always wanted. I liked her for her voice and cosplays, she liked me for my Diamond rank.
It felt good being someone for a while. Someone people would like, look up to. My rank was everything to me, and it didn't even matter we're together only because I'm diamond and I can carry her friends in flex. It was enough to keep our relationship strong for two whole years, thousands of kilometers apart. Until 2026.
Her 'attractive' friend suddenly went from plat to diamond. And guess what. She left me, she didn't need me anymore. She didn't care because she wasn't good enough for high elo anyway, even my new GM rank became meaningless. She had her new boyfriend who was not only diamond for the first time in the past 10 years, but someone she could also videochat without cringing.
Now I'm single and queuing against formerly hardstuck D4 players in grandmaster with not a single soul to care.
How could they let this happen? Does the company not care about our community anymore? I wasted $2000 in skins and this is my thanks.
