The year is 2040, Star Rail has separated characters into 2 categories, the ones that have beat Yanqing (SSS tier) and the ones that haven't done it yet (F tier). Gacha tubers stopped making guides on new characters and speculate on whether Yanqing will show up and get beat by them instead. Star Rail leaks are made up only of leaked Yanqing assets. Mihoyo writers are in shambles trying to insert Yanqing into more content. Da Wei opens his heart shaped locket containing a picture of Yanqing and solemnly utters "I have one final job for you.". He then initiates Operation YanKing the Playerbase.
It's the final arc versus Nanook and the whole of the antimatter legion with the friends you've made along the way. Yanqing arrives just in time to fulfill his destiny. Everyone dogpiles on him, even the parallel version 5* Yanqing from Honkai Impact making him the only character to kick his own ass. Star Rail players rejoice as now every character is top tier. Everyone is happy, except for Jing Yuan mains. In the end, only Jing Yuan decides to not beat his own pupil as he was CC'd by his love for him, causing him to be relegated to Mid Yuan tier forever.
